Historic Register Story Map Unveiling

Join us on a digital tour of Walla Walla’s historic places!

In 2023, the City of Walla Walla received a Certified Local Government Historic Preservation Grant to create a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) story map of the City’s Register of Historic Places. The City’s Development Services and GIS Departments enlisted Northwest Vernacular, a historic preservation consultant, to transition our current spreadsheet of properties to an engaging and interactive tool.

As we are still finalizing the project, we welcome your questions and comments, and hope that by exploring our story map, you can appreciate Walla Walla’s historic places as much as we do.

Attend in person at the City Council Chambers in City Hall or via Zoom at us02web.zoom.us/j/88330259334 .

Questions? Email lwasson-seilo@wallawallawa.gov or call 509-524-4717 for more information about the City of Walla Walla and historic preservation.
