We'd love to help you sign up for a library card! Call 509-527-4550 or email wwpl@wallawallawa.gov with any questions about the process.

Who is eligible for a free card?

  • Students enrolled in Walla Walla Public Schools, including preschool and Walla Walla Online, regardless of residency. Please visit this page for more information.
  • Anyone who resides or owns property within Walla Walla city limits.

Individuals who do not meet the residency requirement may pay for a nonresident card. The cost is $68/year or $34/six months and covers everyone in the household.

What do I need to do?

  • Complete and submit a registration form.
  •  Show us photo ID with current address (for anyone 18+ years). If the ID isn't current, we need to see additional proof of address, e.g. recently received piece of mail.

For minors, if the parent/legal guardian does not have a current library account, we need to see the parent/guardian's photo ID with current address.

If you need to pay for a nonresident card, we accept payment by credit/debit card, check, or exact cash.

How do I access/submit the form?

Choose the option that works best for you:

  • Complete the Get a Library Card registration form on our website. Please allow one full business day to process your application through our website.
  • Pick up the form in person at the library, or request that we send it to you in the mail
  • Return the form in person, by mail, or by scanning and sending via email

Remember to include a copy of your photo ID/proof of current address if you do not plan to show us in person.
