Big Idea Talks: Charlotte's Web with Johanna Stoberock

This is the last event in the Big Idea Talk series of three winter programs called The Great American Read.  Local English professors selected personal favorites from The Great American Read list featured on PBS and will discuss themes of other worlds, identity, and love.

Published author Johanna Stoberock will discuss the theme of identity in this children's classic about Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider. Note, this is not a children's event - Johanna will lead adults to reconsider the book from a writer's perspective.

Johanna Stoberock is a Senior Adjunct Assistant Professor of English at Whitman College.
