Big Idea Talks with author Aaron Bobrow-Strain

Please join us as local author Aaron Bobrow-Strain talks about his new novel: The Death and Life of Aida Hernandez.  This novel takes us into detention centers, immigration courts, and the inner life of Aida and reveals the human consequences of militarizing what was once a more forgiving border. 

Aaron is Professor of Politics at Whitman College,  He writes and teaches about food politics, immigration, political economy, and the U.S.-Mexico border.

A dessert reception will be held at 6:30, the program begins at 7:00 p.m.  You are welcome to bring adult guests.
