Fire Training Tower Open House

The new fire training tower in Walla Walla

The Walla Walla Fire Department, College Place Fire Department and Walla Walla County Fire District 4 are inviting area residents to visit the newly constructed fire drill tower at 300 Cayuse St., in Walla Walla. The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees may park in the Washington Park parking lot or on the street, and can enter the training facility from the south end of the parking lot next to the park restrooms. Visitors are asked to use caution and stay in marked areas when in the facility, as some construction work may still be happening.

The new tower replaces the aging drill tower at the site, which has provided decades of training to fire fighters and which is at the end of its useful life. The new structure will serve as a regional training facility for members of WWFD, CPFD and WWCFD4.
